William H. Beezley, series editor
The series offers books in which the authors explore through narrative, description, and analysis the rich and varied character of the Mexican experience. The voices and views of authors from Mexico, the United States, and other parts of the world are included because these observers represent diverse perspectives. With an emphasis on Mexican cultures, broadly defined, the series includes historical, anthropological, geographical, ethnographical, and environmental volumes, and occasional work in translation from Spanish. The series will not publish volumes of fiction.
