Determining the Correct Subscription Rate
  • It is the policy of the University of NE Press to accept subscriptions at individual rates when they are paid by personal check or credit card. Subscriptions ordered or paid for by libraries, schools, academic departments, government agencies, businesses and agents are charged
  • If the end recipient of a subscription resides outside the U.S., the non-U.S. subscription rate applies, even if UNP is directed to send the journals to a distrbution center within the U.S.  This policy is necessary in order for foreign subscribers to retain claim privileges on missing issues.
Taxes on subscriptions and single issue orders
  • Include Nebraska sales tax on orders delivered to individuals and corporations in Nebraska.  Rates vary depending on the customer's address.  http://salestaxrates.ne.gov/nedor
  • Include Canadian GST of 6% on orders delivered to Canadian addresses.
Postage
  • All postage costs are figured into the full-volume subscription rates.
  • Postage charges must be applied to all single issue orders.
    • If shipped within the U.S.: $5 for the first copy; $1 for each additional copy.
    • If shipped outside the U.S.: $20 for the first copy; $5 for each additional copy.
  • Single issue orders shipped to U.S. addresses are generally sent via Media Mail.  Outside the U.S.s, most single sisue orders are sent via First Class Mail International.
  • U.S. customers should allow 2 - 4 weeks for delivery and those outside the U.S. should allow up to 90 days.  Faster mailing methods and FedEx delivery are available for these orders, but additional charges will apply; call for details.

If a claim is received within the six month period, a replacement copy will be sent free of charge, provided the issue is still in stock and that the customer has a valid subscription to the volume that includes that issue
  • If a claim is made more than six months after the mailing date, the customer will have the option of buying a replacement copy at the single copy rate, provided the issue is still in stock.
