Women in the West
This series analyzes, describes, and synthesizes the historical experience of women in the west, with both “women” and “west” considered broadly. The series makes a particular effort to approach the history of women from what are usually considered “ethnic minorities,” such as Native Americans, Hispanics, Asians, Black Americans, etc., as well as Euro-American groups which have been traditionally underrepresented in scholarship, such as the economically marginalized.
